Fontainebleau- Fontainebleau Palace

Fontainebleau Palace's most famous resident was Napoleon Bonaparte.  Born on the island of Corsica to parents of minor nobility, Napoleon was sent to and graduated from military school in France, after which became an officer.  Through his military genius, demonstrated in his battlefield victories, he rose to become a general.  He then took advantage of the turbulent political situation in France to administer a coup against its government.  Soon after this, he made himself Emperor of the French.

I have to admit that I was ecstatic on my arrival at this place, because I have always been fascinated by Napoleon.  To walk in his footsteps was an absolute treat!  I especially liked the palace's exterior and Napoleon's awesome throne room and bedroom!  Also of note were the beautiful grounds, which were perfect for a stroll.
