Santa Fe- Tomasita's Restaurant, Loretto Chapel

If you're looking for good New Mexican food at a reasonable price, head for Tomasita's Restaurant on 500 South Guadalupe Street.  For the first round, you get a couple of huge, freshly made sopapillas with butter and honey.  The second round consists of delicious chicken and cheese enchiladas in a spicy red chili sauce.  Heck, you may even want to get an egg on top of those enchiladas!

Then foot it to the beautiful Loretto Chapel on 207 Old Santa Fe Trail.  This is the home of the Miraculous Staircase.  According to legend, a man built this incredible staircase, which is considered a masterpiece of carpentry, without using even a single nail.  The man, though, never returned to receive payment for his work.  It is a belief among many people that the carpenter was Saint Joseph, father of Jesus, who built it is as an answer to the prayers of the Santa Fe residents.
